All three kiddos played soccer again this spring, and all three had a great time. We're getting used to giving up our Saturdays in Fall and Spring to soccer games - if we have to be out there all day, at least the scenery is pretty awesome. Look at that backdrop!
Ryker's program was called Littleton Lollipops. It was half practice and half scrimmage each Saturday morning. This was our second attempt at having Ryker play soccer, and happily he did much better than his first season. He has matured enough that he was a willing participant and tried hard. I was happy to see the smile on his face!
Sydney again played on her same team, Rainbow Rockstars. Soccer is probably Sydney's favorite sport so far, and she has a lot of natural talent. She has a grin from ear to ear on her face almost the entire time she is on the field, and still likes games better than practices simply because on game days you get two snacks. It will be interesting to see how Sydney does in sports. Although she has a lot of natural ability, is one of the fastest girls out there, and tries hard, she is not very competitive at all. As long as she's having fun, cheering on her team, and continues to have a good attitude, we consider it a win.
Myles played with the TOPS program again for children with special needs. He takes his soccer very seriously, and each season has gotten better both in skills, and in stamina. He looks forward to each Saturday soccer afternoon, and gives it his whole heart.
